Alina Amuri, is born in Kinshasa (Kongo) and grew up in Zurich. Alina is well-known in the Swiss music scene for her remarkable warm and soulful voice. She started her singing carrier early: Alina was a member of the children’s choir of the Zuercher Opernhaus, where she was coached by Placido Domingo amongst others. Moreover, she trained her voice in private lessons for five years and also profited from a gospel vocal training led by Freddy Washington. Recently, Alina has been working successfully for several international and local artists such as King Django (USA), Namusoke, Skarra Mucci , King Kora, Adrew Robinson, Scrucialists, etc. In 2004, Alina Amuri released her own EP, containing four self-composed tracks and featuring the Scrucialists. She is currently working on new songs for her upcoming album. In 2006, Alina Amuri appeared in several concerts and showcases all over Switzerland with Namusoke, e.g. at the Paleo Festival, as opening band of Kanye West or the Saian Supa Crew etc.
